PhD Programme in History
Launched in the XXIX cycle in collaboration with the Department of Humanities, the Ph. PhD in History enables the development of analytical skills on historical processes in a multi-secular dimension, FROM THE PRECLASSIC AGE TO THE CONTEMPORARY AGE, embracing the openings of the historical sciences to new perspectives in the study of the past, aimed at framing phenomena, events and processes IN GLOBAL CONTEXTS with a SPICY INTERDISCIPLINARITY.
The COLLEGE OF DOCTORS brings together qualified faculty members of INTERNATIONAL CHARACTER.
The Ph.D. attracts more than a hundred applications each year from Italian, European and non-Europeans. Annual TEACHING ACTIVITIES IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE and a 12 MONTH period of research and/or curricular educational activities ABROAD.
In recent years, some doctoral students have designed and animated a STUDENT CONFERENCE aimed at young scholars, both Italian and non-Italian, now in its fifth edition, and two editions of the WINTER
SCHOOL Entangled Food Histories, which have proven to be successful events.
