Il politico

The journal Il Politico has been published since 1950 (it was founded by Bruno Leoni) as the continuation of the Annali di Scienze Politiche founded in 1928.
So far, 249 issues have been published. Each issue has about 180 pages which contain articles, notes and reviews regarding political science, law, economic politics, sociology, history and international politics.
53 monographs have been published in the series Quaderni della rivista Il Politico.
As well as lecturers from the University of Pavia, many academics from important Italian and foreign universities also collaborate.
Furthermore, the review has promoted the organization of many congresses among which:
- a series of conferences on the problems of planning in Eastern countries (in the '50s and '60s);
- a round table on legal positivism (1996);
- an international conference on electoral abstention in Italy and European countries (1982);
- a series of Italian - USA conferences on “ The difficult path of a united Europe” (1986-1988);
- a series of Italian - Turkish conferences (1990-2001);
- an international conference on the “ evaluation of social policies” (1993);
- an international conference on “ Elections of the European Parliament” (1994), the proceedings were published in the series "Quaderni";
- a conference on the sixty years of the Faculty of Political Sciences in Pavia (1997), the proceedings were published in the series"Quaderni" number 44;
- a conference for the fiftieth anniversary of "Il Politico" (2000), the 1950-1999 was published in the Quaderno n. 45
