DEPARTMENT COUNCIL
The Department Council consists of the Department’s Professors, Research Staff and Temporary Researchers. It also includes special professors on a temporary basis, pursuant to art. 1, paragraph 12, Law n. 230/2005; the holders of this position who do not possess the national eligibility provided for in the aforementioned law are excluded from the electoral system for the access to the post of Director.
The Board also includes representatives of technical administrative staff, doctoral candidates, students and research grant holders.

The Council establishes a Board to which it delegates day-to-day administrative powers.
The composition of the Board is established in the Department’s regulations, ensuring
adequate representation of all strata. The Director of the Department, assisted by the
Administrative Secretary, chairs the Board and reports to the Council on her/his work.

The Joint Commission carries out monitoring activities of educational offerings, teaching quality and effectiveness of educational activities.

TUTORING COMMISSION
The Tutoring Commission, chaired by Prof. Legnante, plays the role of processing tutoring projects submitted by the department's faculty members, based on the resources allocated and communicated by the Orientation Center (COR).
It is particularly responsible for:
- formulating a plan for tutoring activities articulated in individual projects;
- preparing notices for the selection of collaborators, containing admission requirements, skills required of applicants, as well as selection criteria;
- review the applications and establish a ranking among the successful applicants;
- reopen the terms of the call for applications only for programs found to have a shortage of collaborators.
